Our colleague Cara C. Lewis Ph.D. has been selected to receive the 2016 President's New Researcher Award by the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
The award is based upon an early program of research that reflects factors such as: consistency with the mission of ABCT; independent work published in high-impact journals; and promise of developing theoretical or practical applications that represent clear advances to the field.
Cara Lewis joined the MacColl team and Group Health Research Institute in summer 2016 as an associate investigator. She is an affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington, and an assistant professor at Indiana University where she leads the Training Research and Implementation in Psychology (TRIP) lab. She also serves as president of the Society for Implementation Research Collaboration (SIRC). SIRC is dedicated to facilitating communication and collaboration between implementation research teams, researchers, and community providers.
Dr. Lewis will receive the award at ABCT's 50th annual convention in New York this November.
